Dear Readers,
Thank you for the kindness and support you have shown me. Whether you are a new supporter or have been with me for 13 years, you are the reason for this website. You may have noticed that I haven’t been around much. I wanted to update you all on the happenings of my life and what the future will look like.
I am currently in my master’s program and I will be done in August and will continue to work toward licensure as a mental health professional. I will be specializing in children and adolescents with a particular focus on those with developmental disorders such as autism or ADHD and advocating with their families in their IEPs and 504 plans. As you can imagine, this takes up a lot of my time and energy outside of my family, my job as a behavior interventionist, and my calling as a Primary Activity leader.
My plans for this website are still one of love and passion for designing and the gospel, they are only much slower to come to fruition. I am still planning on making activity mats and packs, scripture cut-outs, and study guides. Etsy is the best place to contact me for questions.
Choosing a theme for me this year, branches from the enormous impasse that I am facing as I go into my clinical internship and the need to support my family. I will have to complete internship hours only on the weekend, which means I won’t be able to attend church and partake in the sacrament until August. I have been struggling with this need for months after I was placed in an inpatient psychiatric unit. I am immensely grateful that the weekends were an option because they would not impact my work and my family’s schedule during the week. Through prayer and talking with my husband, I have come to a place of humility in that this will be a test for me in doing all that I can to focus on my Savior and gain a better relationship with Him. With this in mind, I have decided to focus on Christ and wanted to create a poster that I can hang in my office or put in front of a binder and I wanted to share it with you!
Here’s to 2023, may it bring you joy and a closer relationship with your Savior, Jesus Christ.
